GUN-TOTING CROOKS AND CELL PHONE THEFTS MARK POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:



October 8, 2013: Cell Phone Theft; 
At approximately 2 PM three male juveniles 
grabbed a cell phone from a juvenile female and fled.   
The female was walking on Parker Ave near Summit Ave.
 
October 11, 2013: Attempted Robbery; At approximately 630 PM, an adult female 
was walking up her driveway on Orchard Rd, when she was approached by a tall 
thin male.  The male demanded her belongings and displayed a handgun.  The 
victim then ran to the door of her home and the actor fled to an awaiting 
vehicle without any proceeds.
 
October 11, 2013: Robbery; At approximately 11 PM, the victim pulled his BMW 
into a driveway on Marion Ter.  At this time, he observed a dark colored vehicle 
stop behind him and three males with handguns exit.  The males took the 
passenger’s cell phone and the victim’s BMW before fleeing.
 
October 13, 2013: Burglary; Between 11 AM and 1 PM, a home on Broadview Ave 
had entry forced to it and a laptop stolen.
