TC UPDATES ON POST OFFICE DEVELOPMENT, APPROVES PARKING CHANGE

In one of the shortest Township Committee meetings yet, the TC on Tuesday night approved a change in parking outside of 195 Maplewood Avenue to 20 minute limits and created limited loading zones for the site that will soon house the relocated Maplewood Village Post Office.

The TC voted, 5-0, for the change and said the post office will relocate from its current spot across from Kings on Feb. 15 to make way for a planned retail/housing complex. (rendering above)

Mayor Vic De Luca also offered an update on the redevelopment of the current post office site, noting that the developers -- JMF Development - would meet with the Maplewood Village Alliance next week.
