The paper writes:
How about trading the spooky jack-o'-lanterns for rock-star pumpkins with flowing tresses of vines or a spiky crew cut of ornamental grass?
Both are among ideas in the Halloween issue of Woman's Day, and we visited the Maplewood home of the magazine's editor-in-chief to check out the simple steps that make these groovin' gourds and others.
Susan Spencer, who oversees content for the national publication with 3.2 million readers, says her staff aims for simple projects that won't stress time-starved parents who want to get their children involved with the decorating. Her fifth-grader Emmy helped make the Halloween projects shown.
“Halloween is absolutely one of our top holidays at Woman's Day," says Spencer. And the magazine's approach is always to provide projects that can be accomplished with supplies that might already be on hand.
