CHS GRAD AUTHOR CHRISTIAN SAHNER TONIGHT AT MAIN LIBRARY

Main Library – As civil war rages in Syria, historian Christian C. Sahner blends history, reportage and memoir in a piercing account of a country whose rich past resonates in its tragic present. Sahner is a 2003 graduate of Columbia High School. He studied Art & Archaeology and History at Princeton, and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford. He is back at Princeton completing his doctorate. Copies of the book will be available for sale. Free and open to the public. Presented by Maplewood Library and [words] Bookstore.
