KINGS OFFERS SUPPORT FOR POST OFFICE PLAN

Kings Supermarket has indicated its support for the former Maplewood Village Post Office redevelopment plan, which originally had limited delivery trucks backing into King's narrow driveway across the street.

In a letter to the township on Friday (below) Kings indicated support, noting modifications to the project had been made to allow deliveries. But it did not indicate what those changes were or how they might impact Ricalton Square or adjacent public parking.

Asked about such concerns, Mayor Vic De Luca emailed: "Those concerns are baseless. There will still be parking and a travel lane behind the building and no Ricalton Square land will be used for parking."
