TUSCAN PARENTS SLAM CLASS SIZE INCREASE

Several Tuscan School parents addressed the Board of Education on Monday night with concerns that second graders moving up to third grade next fall will be faced with larger class sizes.

The parents contend they are being told that there will be only five third grade classes next year for students who now comprise six second grade classes. With larger class size, they fear instruction will be adversely impacted.

See some of the parents below:

Prior to the testimony, Acting Superintendent James Memoli addressed the issue, stating final decisions had not been made on the number of classes.

But when one of the parents directly asked the board and Memoli when they would decide on the number of third grade classes at Tuscan, neither would respond.
