Fire Chief Michael Dingelstedt issued this statement on the incident:
The Fire
Department responded with a full assignment to an activated fire alarm.
Investigation
revealed a smoke detector activation caused by employees cooking on the grill
without turning on the exhaust fan. No ventilation was required and no additional
action was necessary. All members on scene conducted a building familiarization
walk-thru of the entire structure prior to returning to quarters.
