The Planning Board has released plans for handling an appeal of the Maplewood Village Alliance's approval of the Maplewood Village Post Office redevelopment plan, ensuring nothing may be decided until at least November.
The Planning Board is in the middle of its own review of the three-story, 20-unit, five-store project, which has drawn opposition from several groups, including Village Keepers Inc.
Village Keepers Inc., which had sued to block the MVA approval, dropped its suit but has since filed an appeal of the MVA approval. The Planning Board will handle the appeal and sent a letter dated Sept. 10 to attorneys for Village Keepers detailing the appeal process,
See the letter below:
At this rate, approval of the project could be pushed back past Jan. 1, 2016 when two new members will be sworn on to the Township Committee.
Stay tuned!
