MAPLEWOOD —
Officials are investigating a two-alarm blaze that ripped through a
two-and-a-half story house starting on Friday evening, Chief Michael
Dingelstedt said.
When firefighters responded to the scene on Maplewood Avenue at 9:40
p.m. on Friday, they found heavy fire on the second floor and coming out
of the roof, he said.
No one was at home at the time and shortly after firefighters entered
the single-family home, the roof of the wood-frame building collapsed,
according to Dingelstedt.
