SHOULD TEACHERS HAVE TO ASK PARENTS FOR CLEANING SUPPLIES?

A teacher whom we will not name in a school we will not name sent an email to parents asking for cleaning supplies, tissues and hand sanitizers.

Now I am glad a teacher is reaching out for help, and I would be glad to help were it my child's classroom, but should they have to hit parents up for these necessities?

Shouldn't our rip-off property taxes, 58% of which goes to schools, be enough to cover these basics?

Yes, I know this is an ongoing thing and affects most every school in one way or another

Having said that, it is also important that parents help teachers and know it is not their mismanagement, it is a lack of resources at the district level.
