If you are one of those waiting until today, April 15, to file your income taxes at the last minute, you have until 7 p.m. if you wish to get that beloved postmark that gets you in under the deadline.
Unlike in some past years, few post offices in New Jersey are staying open later, and none nearby. Postal officials say this is due to the fact that most Americans file electronically.
The Maplewood Village postal site is always open until 7 p.m. on weeknights, while the Springfield Avenue office closes at 4 p.m.
