PATERSON — The Passaic County
Sheriff’s Office warrant squad arrested a Maplewood man on six
outstanding warrants for more than $132,000 in unpaid child support,
authorities said Thursday.
Todd Cooper, 48, also faces drug charges after he tossed 42 envelopes
of heroin under a parked car when he spotted sheriff’s detectives,
according to Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik.
Cooper put his hood up over his head and turned in the other
direction when he saw detectives while walking on West Broadway in
Paterson on Wednesday, the sheriff said. He threw the drugs as
authorities moved in.
