SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT "DEEPLY SADDENED" BY CHS TEACHER ARREST

Little mention was made at Monday night's Board of Education meeting of the arrest last week of Columbia High School teacher Nicole Dufault on charges related to her alleged sexual involvement with five students.

No public comments were offered and acting Superintendent James Memoli offered only a short update about letters that were sent to parents.

But he did say that as a longtime district staffer and former Columbia graduate the entire incident "greatly saddens me."
