Township Attorney Roger Desiderio raised the issue and asked if the TC wished to proceed with plans to bid during an upcoming auction of the land and building. The governing body voted unanimously on a resolution authorizing him to move forward with plans to bid on the property at a Sept. 10 auction or negotiate a sale prior to that.
De Luca indicated the land could be used to "expand the recreation footprint" of De Hart Park.

The TC did not indicate how much would be paid for the site, but an online auction notice state that a $20,000 deposit was needed at the time of bidding. It also stated that the building was being auctioned by creditors who took control of it from the church.
