ABANDONED HOME THAT DREW COMPLAINTS SET FOR SALE TODAY

4 Mountain Ave.
The owners of the long-abandoned house at 4 Mountain Ave. -- which has been in disarray for years and sparked demands by neighbors that it be demolished -- say it is set to be sold today and then refurbished for resale.

Michael Yablonsky, a local property owner, told the Township Committee Tuesday that he is set to close on the purchase of the home today from owner Claydes Ahmad Smith, whose family has held title for years but not occupied the property.

See Yablonsky's comments below.

The TC in early November voted to move ahead with plans to demolish the building after it had received numerous code violations and neighbors had signed a petition requesting it be removed. Township Attorney Roger Desiderio on Tuesday informed the TC of the latest information regarding a planned closing today.

The TC advised Yablonsky Tuesday that if the closing occurred by today and he could provide proof to the Township, the demolition would be cancelled.
