DPW WORKERS FOUND DEAD BODY

The deceased body found in the Memorial Park brook behind the library last week was discovered by public works employees who were clearing the parking lot and the related area, according to a police report on the incident.

But police are still not revealing what killed the man, who was identified as 61-year-old Lawrence Mancuso of South Orange.
His obituary, see below, states he had lived more recently in Nutley.

See the related police report below:

As we reported last week, Mancuso's body was discovered last Friday morning in the brook behind the library, an incident that caused police to block off the parking lot and portions of the park, as well as delay the library opening that day.

Once the investigation was concluded, the library and related areas were re-opened. We will provide more details when they are released.

In related news, funeral arrangements have been planned for Mancuso, whose obituary is HERE. It reveals had been a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and The South Orange Elks.
