Township Appoints Interim Recreation Director, Melissa Mancuso
The Township of Maplewood announced that Melissa Mancuso has joined the Township as their interim Director of Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
Melissa brings to Maplewood a wealth of private
sector and public sector experience. She recently served as the
Director of Recreation and Community Affairs in a similar sized New
Jersey community for the last 5 years and has an extensive background in
recreation, senior services, fitness, and event planning.
“Maplewood is a beautiful town, and I’m glad to be part of the team here. Everyone from township colleagues, to residents and volunteers have been welcoming and kind,” Mancuso shared.
Melissa is immediately working on upcoming pool memberships, Kids Kamp preparations and planning for Baby Pool upgrades along with the beginning of spring sports.
“Maplewood has a very robust Recreation Department with programming and sports for all ages. The more I see, the more I love,” Mancuso said.
Mancuso replaced Keith Knudsen who left the township after several successful years.
“My office door will be open, and I look forward to meeting more residents. Our upcoming Egg Hunt on March 19th from 1-3pm at Memorial Park North would be a great day to say hello and enjoy the Spring Celebration,” Mancuso said.
