We asked Township Clerk Liz Fritzen why it could not wait until the next regular meeting on April 5. She said the newcomer had to be appointed so he could be sworn-in on march 29 and make the next class on April 4.
It is also another chance to speak up and ask the TC a question, give your opinion or just a pat on the back.
