ST. JAMES GATE BARTENDER FILES COUNTER CLAIM

Both PATCH and the News-Record are reporting that James Meade, the St. James Gate bartender accused of assault, has filed his own complaint against his accuser, Ethan Kresofsky.

PATCH reports:

According to documents released by a public relations firm retained by the family, Meade has accused Ethan Kresofsky, a 24-year-old South Orange resident, of assault by "attempting to cause bodily injury...by spitting in (Meade's) face and then biting his right index finger after re-entering St. James Gate Publick House after 'last call.'"
Robert D. Kuttner, a Millburn attorney retained by Meade, confirmed that a probable cause hearing to determine if Meade's complaint will move forward will be held in the Bloomfield Municipal Court on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8:30 a.m.
