The snow is coming Friday night, and a foot of accumulation is still predicted for some northern parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service.
But the predictions have come with caveats. Unpredictability and uncertainty in the storm’s track and intensity remains, as two massive low pressure systems have yet to collide over New Jersey on their way to New England.
A “watch” – and not a “warning” – is still in effect for the region as the blizzard continues to develop, said Jim Hayes, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s office in Mount Holly.
“We’re still not quite firm on the storm track,” said Hayes this morning. “That’s why we still have a watch and not a warning.”
