YOUTH BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGED AGAIN - TO SUNDAY

After two weeks that were postponed due to "scheduling conflicts" the winter Saturday morning youth basketball program is being moved to Sunday afternoon for this final week.

This notice was sent to parents today:

HELLO EVERYONE!

THE FINAL WEEK OF MAPLEWOOD RECREATION'S WINTER BASKETBALL PROGRAM WILL BE HELD THIS WEEKEND! 

PROGRAMMING WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY MARCH 3RD AT COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL. 

WE WILL BE USING THE MAIN GYM. THE ENTRANCE TO THE GYM IS LOCATED IN THE REAR OF THE SCHOOL, OFF OF VALLEY STREET. 

TIMES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

3RD-5TH GRADE GIRLS - 2:15P-3:15P

3RD & 4TH GRADE BOYS - 3:15P-4:00P

5TH GRADE BOYS - 4:00P-4:45P

MAPLEWOOD RECREATION DEPARTMENT

This comes after the league screwed-up and scheduled two of the sessions for days when the Middle School gym turned out not to be available. It would have been nice if they had nailed the availability down when they scheduled the league in the first place.

Now they foul it up again, moving the last rescheduled session to Sunday afternoon. A Recreation Department staffer said this is because the softball tryouts are in the middle school gym on Saturday.
