Main Library – The mehndi, or henna plant has been
used since the Bronze Age as a dye, fragrance and decoration, as well as
for its medicinal value. This traditional form of decoration is used
primarily by women to adorn their hands and feet for weddings, festivals
and other special occasions. Its popularity continues to spread
worldwide with the migration of people from India and other Eastern
countries. In this hands-on workshop you will learn to draw traditional
Indian motifs and application techniques, and then use real henna paste
to make your own designs! Register at MMLMehndi.eventbrite.com
