Big Planning Board meeting tonight as the board considers ordinances reshaping business along Springfield Avenue and, of course, the latest site plan for the controversial Maplewood Village Post Office redevelopment plan.
See the agenda HERE.
The latest post office plan was approved by the Maplewood Village Alliance on July 23 and includes a three-story building with 20 apartments and five retail shops in Maplewood Village.
In the other major issue, the Township Committee last month approved two ordinances that allow 24-hour gas stations on Springfield Avenue, but only in specific areas. They include the location of a proposed Wawa Market near the Irvington town line. Wawa had requested the 24-hour gas as a requirement for its new store.
The Planning Board tonight must review the ordinances before they face final approval from the TC.
The meeting is set for 8 p.m. at Town Hall, 574 Valley St.
