RACIST MESSAGE FOUND IN SOUTH ORANGE MIDDLE SCHOOL BATHROOM

Just three months after a swastika was found scrawled in a bathroom at South Orange Middle School, a racist message appeared in a bathroom at the school today.

Principal Lynn Irby sent a note to parents Tuesday revealing the incident and declaring it is being investigated by police as a hate crime.

Her note stated, in part:

Today, it was brought to our attention that hate speech was written in one of the bathroom stalls. The words “Naughty N***ers  Get Lynched” were found. This was reported to the SOPD as a hate crime, and is under full investigation. This is extremely disheartening and concerning, especially following our ongoing lessons and discussions about racism, bigotry, and Anti-Semitism.

The incident comes just a few months after a swastika was found in a SOMS bathroom in December.
