Women’s History Month Project

March is Women’s History Month, and to celebrate there will be a drop in craft throughout the month where you can color in your own paper dolls of famous women. Stop by the Children’s Room to participate!

All children must be accompanied by an adult * No registration required

Hilton Computers for Beginners

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Hilton Branch – Yes, you can learn how to use a computer!  You’ll learn the basics of computer use, and how to go on the Internet.  The teacher will help you with your specific needs.  Drop in: no registration needed!  Tuesdays January 6, February 10, March 10, April 7, May 12, June 9  1:00-2:00 p.m.

Teen Tech Week: Minecraft Water Challenge

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Main Library – The enclosed world contains only a single water source. With few resources for food available, participants must set up a farming operation and feed themselves. Itty Bitty Wouldn’t Budge

Hear local author Victoria Martin read her new Children’s book, Itty Bitty Wouldn’t Budge, about a Newfoundland dog right here in Maplewood. There may even be a real Newfoundland for kids to see for themselves!

Hilton 3D CAD Workshop

5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Hilton Branch – February 24, March 3, March 10, March 17, March 24, March 31, April 7, April 14  5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Computer generated animation, gaming landscapes and consumer products all start as 3D computer models.  This 8 WEEK WORKSHOP will give new and returning participants the opportunity to learn the basics or increase their proficiency in Rhino 3D, a user-friendly industrial-strength 3D CAD program.
Class participants will have the opportunity to print their designs on the library’s 3d printer. The workshop is open to adults and high school and middle school students.   Click here to register
