FRIED ICE CREAM OPENS AT BOYDEN/SPRINGFIELD CORNER. BUT WHAT IS IT?

After months of waiting, the new T-OP Fried Chicken and Fried Ice Cream spot opened this week at the corner of Boyden and Springfield avenues.

While the past few businesses -- from hot dogs to fish -- have not done well at the corner spot, proprietors of the new unique eatery have high hopes.

We stopped by Friday to find out what Fried Ice Cream is like. Staffers Tom and Lucy gave us a demonstration of the creative process. 

It involves the pouring of the liquid ice cream mix on a freezing "pan" and molding it into ice cream rolls that are placed in a cup with other goodies.
