The Township Committee gave initial approval to a 30-year tax exemption plan for developers of the former PSE&G site on Boyden Ave. that will allow the developers, Avalon Bay, to pay portions of fees and taxes on the 235-unit project.

The TC voted, 5-0, on the ordinance on first reading. It will be heard and voted on again and a public hearing held on March 17.
