The Maplewood Farmer's Market will move to a new location near Springfield Avenue and Yale Street this coming season, the Township revealed Thursday.
The location is the empty lot at 1848-1852 Springfield Ave. between the building that houses The Rack and the Yale Street Commons apartments. It is owned by NNN Real Estate LLC.
The Township recently signed a lease agreement to lease the lot from NNN through the end of 2017 at an annual rate of $5,751.
The move allows for more parking and less impact on the former site's use as a parking lot at Indiana Street and Springfield Avenue. There will also be three farms represented instead of the previous two.
