First, he is one of eight mayors who will be inducted into the League's Hall of Fame for his 10 years of combined service to Maplewood as mayor. Even though he has been in office since 2009, he also served a previous stint and is the only Maplewood mayor to serve two non-consecutive terms.
Deluca is also being named the New Jersey Municipal Management Association's Elected Official of the Year for 2015. That group is a professional association of municipal managers and administrators and the award is for "an elected official who supports and advances professionalism management in the state's cities and town."
