The school district's recent baseline budget report that indicated a need to deal with rising enrollment in lower grades also included a detailed listing of maintenance projects for last year, this year, and next school year, to the tune of nearly $7.5 million.
The maintenance list indicates the district spent $3.5 million on maintenance in 2014-2015 and plans to spend $1.9 million each for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
Last year's projects ranged from upgrades to Underhill Sports Complex to gym floor repairs at Seth Boyden School to door repairs at Jefferson School. Maplewood Middle School had the most expensive work down, with a total of $1.1 million for a long list of needs that included painting, science lab repairs and damaged walls.
